The Ideal Way To Program a Text Adventure Game
CultGame » Devlog
Hello everyone! Been doing a lot of work on the game architecture and the custom-made libraries to create as of recent. I’ve made a video for you all where I’ve cataloged my process of going from naiive methods to good practice for creating text based games. I hope you can see that a lot of work goes into getting games as simple-looking as CultGame to be well-programmed and maintainable.
Coming up next should hopefully be some videos of moving around the newly designed game interface. Take care and have a great weekend :)

Can you make a cult that is semi-good?
Hi! Yes, that is the plan. Players will have choices to become a kind, charitable religious group just as much as they will be able to be evil. If that’s not clear in the marketing, I’ll change it 😊
Wonderful!
